That's the only question I build toward.
Not courses. Not checkboxes. Change.
"The system must support the behavior, only then can training do its work."
I diagnose before I design.
Always.
I'm Jennifer Nguyen, Jen for short. Together with my last name, it sounds like genuine, and that is exactly my brand and the standard I hold myself to in every engagement. Across two decades in finance, healthcare, technology, telecommunications, semiconductor, public sector, and enterprise, I ask the question others skip: is this actually a training problem? Then I build the right solution, whether that is a course, a system change, or both.
My work spans instructional design, eLearning development, needs assessment, curriculum development, and business analysis, with deep expertise in compliance training, clinical and healthcare learning and development, instructor-led training design, learning management system administration, gamification, multilingual and localized content, accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), strategic storytelling, and brand and visual design. Fluent in SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004, familiar with xAPI and AICC standards, and comfortable leading end-to-end from diagnosis to deployment.
Three principles.
Every engagement.
Not a methodology I was taught. What I learned came from building training that worked, and studying the wreckage of training that didn't.
Diagnosing Before Designing
Training is almost never the root cause of a performance gap. My first move is always a needs assessment, stakeholder interviews, task analysis, observation, because building the wrong solution well is still building the wrong solution.
Aligning Systems to Behavior
You cannot train your way out of a systems problem. If the environment doesn't support the behavior you're designing for, the course will fail regardless of quality. I surface system barriers before I design, and bring findings directly to leadership for action.
Telling a Story Worth Telling
Dry content doesn't stick. Scenario-based, narrative-driven learning does. I studied creative writing at Stanford because story is the most underused technology in corporate L&D. If a learner can see themselves in the scenario, they'll remember it.

Health communication design for private practices, patient education reels, multilingual materials, and marketing content, all scripted, produced, and delivered in-house from concept to final cut.

LMS Administration & Program Management
LMS management from SCORM/xAPI compliance through UAT cycles, pre/post-assignment validation, compliance reporting, and cross-functional coordination, audit-ready at every stage.
"I've never worked in any of those industries before I walked into those rooms. I learned the domain fast, partnered with the people who know it best, and built training that held up under scrutiny. The industry changes. The learning design principles don't."
